Ever looked at someone in a great pair of pants and thought, “Damn, how’d they get those to look SO good?” The short answer - they probably had those pants tailored. An even better answer? They had those pants custom made.
Now, we know bespoke apparel just isn’t a realistic budget line for most folx and we also truly believe in investing in the next generation of sewists and tailors. In this class, you will learn every step of the process to making your very own fully-custom, made-to-measure, tailored trousers. By the end of this four-week class series, you will not only have a beautiful pair of pants to wear for years to come, you will have gained priceless skills for building your custom wardrobe from scratch.
Fall ‘26 Workshop Series
Session A: 6:00 - 8:00 PM Thursdays October 8th, 15th, 22nd, 29th SOLD OUT
Session B: 4:00 - 6:00 PM Sundays October 11th, 18th, November 1st, 8th
Session C: 6:00 - 8:00 PM Thursdays November 5th, 12th, 19th, December 3rd

Week 1: Pattern reading and preparation, sewing and tailoring terminology, introduction to the tools we’ll be using throughout the series.
Week 2: Fabric cutting, pinning, ironing, intro to stitches we’ll be using
Week 3: Sewing our pants!
Week 4: Zipper insertion, fitting yourself, common adjustments, finishing techniques
8 full hours of hands-on instruction from two experienced sewists and tailors
All sewing machines, sergers, scissors, needles, pins, irons, etc. needed to complete your project within the class series
An A0 trouser pattern in your base size you get to keep
Access to our private, students-only WhatsApp group for sewing support and advice on notions etc. between classes
Students-only discounts at local fabric & notions suppliers, plus access to our extensive list of vetted industry partners to purchase supplies from
Please note: Students will be asked to procure their own trouser fabric, thread, zipper, and buttons. Exact specifics on what to purchase and where to find those items will be provided to students before the first week of classes.
