Inspired by the iconic character Seong Mi-Na of Soulcaliber fame, morticia asked us to help bring one of her favorite video game characters to life on the burlesque stage.

What we created together is a full kit for burlesque performance that both works for the dancer with easy reveals in mind and never strays from the original creator’s vision for this legacy character.

The entire costume was patterned from scratch and made exactly to Morticia’s measurements. We decided to primarily use stretch taffeta both for its structured flexibility and its iridescent weft. Shades of champagne and gold accent embroidered details and trim throughout the design. The skirt, sleeves, sash, and crop jacket have all been created with strategic reveals for burlesque in mind.
